Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Rajendra Prasad, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Sarojini Naidu, Bhulabhai Desai, Jamnalal Bajaj, Narendra Dev etc. were present on this occasion. On October 28, 1937, the CWC issued a statement on ‘Vande Mataram’ and this statement was influenced by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore and his advice, Ramesh has said on page number 46 of ‘The Collected Works of Mahatma Gandhi Volume 66’.
