In 2020, two Metro Phase III projects (Vaishali and Noida Sector-62 to Mohnagar) were planned, the total cost of which was Rs 3325.22 crore. Then GDA decided to make two routes instead of one. First priority was given to Noida Sector 62 to Sahibabad Metro route.
