Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said that passengers will not be allowed to exit Rajiv Chowk metro station from 9 pm tonight to avoid huge crowd on New Year's Eve.
DMRC said in its post that metro passengers will have to go to Rajiv Chowk metro station. Its meaning is. That passengers will not be able to come out of Rajiv Chowk after 9 pm. However, they will continue to get entries like day to day. DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal said in a statement that to avoid excessive crowd on New Year's Eve, there will be no exit from Rajiv Chowk station after 9 pm.

Anuj Dayal said that passengers will get entry till the departure of the last train from the station on December 31. He said that the passengers have been told. That they plan their journey accordingly. Dayal said services at the remaining metro stations will be available as per the regular timetable. On Thursday, Delhi Police said that the traffic towards Connaught Place will be controlled after 8 pm on Sunday night.

Police said around 2,500 traffic policemen and 250 teams will be deployed to ensure smooth movement of vehicles. Officials said police will maintain increased vigil in Connaught Place, Lajpat Nagar, Hauz Khas, South Extension and other crowded places on New Year's Eve.
