Delhi Metro: There is big news for those celebrating New Year. Today i.e. on the eve of New Year, passengers traveling by Delhi Metro will have to stay updated with the new information of DMRC. Today, passengers cannot exit Rajiv Chowk metro after 9 pm to go to CP area.

Actually, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said that to avoid excessive crowding on New Year's Eve, passengers will not be allowed to exit Rajiv Chowk metro station after 9 pm today i.e. 31st December.

However, DMRC clarified in its post that metro passengers will be allowed to enter Rajiv Chowk metro station. It means. That passengers will not be able to exit from Rajiv Chowk after 9 pm, but entry will continue like normal days.

DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal said in a statement that based on advice received from police officials, exits from Rajiv Chowk station will not be allowed after 9 pm to avoid excessive crowd on New Year's Eve.

Anuj Dayal said that passengers will be allowed to enter till the last train leaves the station on December 31. He said that there are requests from passengers. That they should plan their travel accordingly.

Dayal said, services at remaining metro stations will be available as per regular timetable. Delhi Police had said on Thursday that the traffic going towards Connaught Place will be controlled after 8 pm on Sunday night.

Police had said that around 2,500 traffic policemen would be deployed to ensure smooth movement of vehicles and 250 teams would be deployed to prevent drunk driving.
