Electric And CNG Buses Will Soon Be included in The Roadways Fleet
Electric and CNG buses: Pollution levels have increased significantly in Delhi and NCR. To reduce this, Haryana government has prepared a plan. Haryana has prepared a large-scale action plan to deal with air pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Delhi. Under this, the roadways fleet will include electric, CNG and BS-6 diesel based buses.
Purchase of 375 e-buses finalized
The procurement of 375 e-buses by the state transport under the Gross Cost Contract (GCC) model has reached the final stage. The length of these buses will be 12 meters and they will be included in the Roadways fleet by June. Preparations are being made by the state transport to purchase 500 new BS-VI diesel buses and 150 HVAC BS-VI diesel buses. All these new buses will be in the roadways fleet by November. The Chief Secretary said that only BS-6 standard buses will run from all the depots of Haryana to Delhi.

E-buses will run in 9 municipal corporations
Similarly, the work of purchasing 100-100 e-buses for Gurugram and Faridabad through the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs can be completed by December. Delhi- A meeting was called by the Union Cabinet Secretary regarding air quality management in the NCR region. Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, who participated in this through video conferencing, said that e-buses will be run in nine municipal corporations including Gurugram and Faridabad.

500 BS-III buses will be retrofitted by October
At present, about 1,030 BS-III model diesel buses are running in Haryana. Of these, about 500 buses are in the depots falling in NCR. All 500 BS-III buses will be retrofitted by October and will be rolled out from NCR depots in a phased manner. All BS-IV buses of cities near Delhi like Faridabad, Gurugram and Sonipat will be transferred to non-NCR depots by October. In their place, BS-VI compliant diesel buses will be allocated, thereby enhancing the environmental balancing of the fleet.
