Expressways: This Year India Got These Big Expressways, Beauty Also Good Along With Short Journey
Expressways: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari repeatedly emphasizes that by the year 2024, India's road infrastructure will be similar to that of America. Work on this side is also being done at a very fast pace. The network of roads, highways and expressways is being expanded rapidly in India. The government has worked on the scheme to build 12500 km of highway-expressway in the current financial year. Out of which many highways and expressways have been inaugurated, some are in their final stages. In the year 2023, India has been gifted some of these highway-expresses.
Delhi-Mumbai Expressway
Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has been the most talked about this year. This expressway is of 1382 km. With the help of this expressway, two metropolitan cities Delhi and Mumbai have been connected. The road journey between Delhi and Mumbai is now only 12 hours. This project has been completed at a cost of about Rs 1 lakh crore. Trains run at a speed of 120 km per hour on this expressway.
Delhi Jaipur Expressway
This expressway was inaugurated by PM Modi in February this year. This 229 km long expressway from Delhi to Jaipur has made the journey from the capital Delhi to Jaipur only two hours. This expressway is part of the 1,386 km long Delhi-Mumbai Mega Expressway.

Bengaluru Mysore Expressway
On March 12, 2023, PM Modi inaugurated the Bengaluru-Mysore Express. This expressway has been built at a cost of Rs 8,480 crore and its distance is 118 km. This express has reduced the distance from Bengaluru to Mysore from 3 hours to just 75 minutes. With the help of this expressway, traveling to Ooty, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Coorg and Kannur has become very easy.

Delhi Vadodara Expressway

Raipur Visakhapatnam Expressway
The gift of Raipur Visakhapatnam Corridor will be received soon. The 6-lane 464 km expressway passes through Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh. This highway reduces the 14-hour journey to 7 hours.
