A local shepherd has established Krishna Gir Cow Farm in Mandwa village of Gadhada where Gir cows are available at different prices. The most expensive white Kapila Hodki cow in this farm is priced at Rs 5 lakh, which has received a lot of appreciation due to its characteristics.

Features of White Kapila Cow

The white Kapila cow, also known as Chandra Kapila, is a rare species and all its parts are white. This cow gives about 18 liters of milk per day, which is sold at a high price due to its Ayurvedic benefits.

Construction of the farm and its manager

The manager of the farm, Bharatbhai Mer, who has studied only till 12th, made a career in animal husbandry due to personal interest and circumstances. Their farm has a range of Gir cows that are sold at different prices.

Care and Feeding of Cows

The cows at the farm are fed a high quality diet that includes cotton, maize, groundnut husk and dry jowar. This diet helps them in keeping them healthy as well as producing more milk.
