Kurukshetra :- Haryana Government is continuously making efforts to improve the social economy of the country from time to time. Recently a petrol pump has been installed on the vacant land adjacent to Kurukshetra Jail. After the successful experiment of making petrol pumps, Jail Minister Ranjit Singh has decided to install petrol pumps on the land adjacent to the jails of other districts also.

Petrol pumps will be established in 11 districts

The operation of the petrol pump established by the Haryana Government on the land adjacent to the Kurukshetra Jail has earned the government an annual income of up to Rs 1 crore. Because of which CM Manohar Lal Khattar has also approved the decision to set up petrol pumps in the jails of 11 districts. These petrol pumps will be installed by Indian Oil Corporation. Drivers are going to benefit the most from this decision of the government.

Prisoners will make Prasad in jail

Giving information, Jail Minister Ranjit Singh said that a large number of devotees from the state go to Salasar Balaji Dham temple to offer prayers. Devotees are required to offer one and a half kilos of Prasad for Swamani. Keeping this in mind, Prasad of Salasar Balaji will be made by the prisoners in the jails of Bhiwani, Mahendragarh and Hisar districts. This Prasad will be given to the devotees at 30% less price.

Prisoners will get different types of sweets

Apart from this, the Jail Minister said that recently a new jail has been completed in Bhiwani. While inaugurating Bhiwani jail, CM has announced to give Rs 14 crore for the food of prisoners. Earlier, only dal and roti were given to the prisoners in the jail, but now the prisoners are also given vegetables, dal and sweets to eat in the jail. Soon new jails will also be built in Fatehabad, Rohtak and Charkhi Dadri. At present the capacity of jails is 21,500. Whereas the number of detainees and prisoners is around 26000.
