New Delhi will be developed as the country's largest railway station. There is daily movement of about 5 lakh passengers at this station. An area of 2.2 lakh square meters has been ensured for this railway station. Rs 4700 crore will be spent for the reconstruction of this railway station. There will be separate departures for Enter and Exit for passengers arriving at the station. A 6-storey, two signature dome will be built in the station premises. The height of these domes will be 80 meters and 60 meters respectively from the ground.

Surat Railway Station comes at second place. An estimated Rs 2700 crore is to be spent on this station.
