Japanese company will set up factory in Haryana

Giving information, Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Rajeev Chandrashekhar said that the Japanese company is going to set up a factory to make batteries for Apple mobile phones in Manesar. He wrote on social media that TDK, the company making equipment for Apple's iPhone, will set up a big factory to make Lithium Ion Battery in Haryana. The company will invest Rs 6 to 7 crore for this factory in a phased manner.

Thousands of people will get employment

With the establishment of this factory, about 8000 people will get employment. Union Minister of State Chandrashekhar said that TDK company will set up an Apple battery manufacturing factory in an area of about 180 acres in Manesar, Haryana. Manufacturing of Lithium Ion batteries in the state will increase local value addition to Apple's local products. TDK is waiting for environmental clearance to start production. In 2005, to boost the energy sector, the company had acquired China's Emperors Technology Limited, a lithium-ion battery manufacturer.
