Konkan Railway's big decision! Kankavali, Sindhudurg stop of 8 Express; When will this service start, know which train will stop and when
M.T. Special Correspondent, Mumbai: There is now a big relief for passengers traveling in Konkan. The Railway Board has decided to halt eight mail-express trains running on the Konkan Railway line at Sindhudurg Nagari and Kankavli railway stations. The implementation of this decision has started in phases from Sunday, and this will provide great convenience to passengers going to Konkan during rush hours.
Some major trains on the Konkan Railway line did not halt at the main stations in Konkan until now. Due to this, the passengers were facing great inconvenience. Against this background, the passengers of Konkan and various passenger organizations had continuously demanded from the railway administration through public representatives to increase the halts.
Which trains will have a halt?
Both the trains, train number 12977/78 Marusagar Express and train number 22655/56 Ernakulam–Hazrat Nizamuddin–Ernakulam Superfast Express, have been given a two-minute halt at Sindhudurg station. Also, it has been decided to halt train number 22475/76 Hisar-Coimbatore-Hisar AC Superfast Express and train number 16335/36 Gandhidham-Nagarcoil-Gandhidham Express at Kankavli station.
These halts will be implemented in phases between November 2 and November 11. Accordingly, train number 12977 Ernamul Junction-Ajmer Express will halt at Sindhudurg from November 2, while train number 12978 Ajmer - Ernamul Junction Express will halt at Sindhudurg station from November 7. This train will halt at Sindhudurg station at 11.43 am for 5 minutes. Train number 22655 will halt at 7.08 am for 2 minutes from November 5 and 22656 will halt at Sindhudurg from November 7 and will halt at 7.20 am for 2 minutes.
For Kankavli station, train number 22475 will stop at 9.43 pm from November 5, 22473 from November 8, 16335 will stop at 9.48 pm from November 7 and 16336 will stop at 6.30 am from November 11. After stopping for 2 minutes, this train will leave for its next journey at 6.32 am. The Konkan Railway administration has appealed to the passengers to check the revised stops while booking the train.
