This highway covers the land of about ten villages from Kail to Singhpura Sherpur. The old national highway is being extended from Sherpur Mor to Tajewala.
This road will become four lane. A bridge will be built in front of Pathrala river Urjani and near Som river Chhachhrauli. Service route will also be built on the flyover in Pratapnagar.

Satyaprakash Nigam, senior project manager of Raj Shyam Construction Company, which is constructing the highway, said. The work will be completed by February 7, 2025.
He said that all security measures have been taken. So that people do not face any problem in commuting. In this, 100 hectares of land has been obtained from 24 villages.

The new fourlane road will pass through Mehlawali, Mamli, Kathwala, Chahdo, Mundakheda, Kharwan, Panjeto, Balachaur, Singhpura, Sherpur, Urjani, Bhilpura, Shahjahanpur, Pipli Majra, Malakpur Khadar, Chhajjungala, Chuharpur Kalan, Chuharpur Khurd, Gulabgarh, Kishanpura, Pratapnagar. , Bahadarpur and many other villages, this will greatly benefit the people going from Ambala to Paonta Sahib.
People coming from Himachal Pradesh will also benefit from this four lane. This will also save an additional trip of about 15 km. Passengers coming from Punjab, Chandigarh and Haryana had to pass through Jagadhri-Chhachhrauli. Jagadhri Lakkar Mandi remained jammed for hours. Earlier the distance from Tajewala to Kail used to take one and a half hours, but now with the construction of the highway this journey will be completed in just thirty minutes.
Senior National Highway Authority official IG Sharma said that this highway will be ready in two years. The work was supposed to be completed on February 7, 2025. After its construction, the distance will be 42 to 45 minutes.
He said that 122 structures, 19 underpasses and 6 minor and three major bridges will be built in this highway. He said that 90 percent of the land has been given to the National Highway Authority. And some government and private constructions on the remaining land will be removed. Payment for his compensation has been sent to the District Revenue Officer.

The speed of this highway under construction will be 100 km/h. After the construction of the highway, a toll plaza will also be built near Urjani. The authority will determine its cost later.
