Delhi News: High speed rail corridor will be constructed between Amritsar. It will be about 474.772 km long, whereas in Panipat its length will be about 31.74 km. 22 villages will be included in this project. After its completion, the Delhi-Chandigarh-Amritsar corridor will become the primary corridor. There will be a 55 feet wide railway track for bullet trains. On which a speed of 320 km per hour has been proposed.

The journey from Amritsar to Delhi will be only 2 hours.

After the construction of this corridor, the journey from Amritsar to Delhi is expected to reduce from five to just two hours. Deputy Commissioner Dr. Virendra Kumar Dahiya held a meeting in this regard with officials of National High Speed Rail Corporation at the District Secretariat on Friday. During this he discussed about the Corridor. Sarpanches of many gram panchayats were also present in the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner told the Sarpanches that for the development of the country we will have to leave our interests.

Long distance travel will be easy

He said that with the running of high speed trains, long distance travel will become easier and the development of the area will also accelerate. The Deputy Commissioner assured the officials of National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited that the administration will provide them all possible assistance. Every effort will be made to complete this pilot project. He asked the Sarpanches to extend their full cooperation in this work. The length of the project in the district is 31.74 km.

Area of three tehsils included in the project

The total affected area in this project is 62.33 hectares. It includes the area of three tehsils. After the commencement of this corridor, the travel time from Delhi to Chandigarh and Amritsar will be reduced. In the meeting, GM Anil Sharma said that the Railway Ministry has entrusted the work of Detailed Project Report of the High Speed Rail Corridor to National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited. Delhi-Chandigarh-Amritsar corridor is one of the primary corridors. In the DC-AHSR corridor, the length of the HSR corridor connecting Delhi to Amritsar is approximately 474.772 km.
