Vande Bharat Express New Route: The Board approved the proposal to run Vande Bharat up to Prayagraj via Gorakhpur-Lucknow, after which efforts have started to run another Vande Bharat up to Prayagraj from a shorter distance. The operations department has started thinking about it. The second Vande is expected to go from Gorakhpur-Deoria-Mau to Varanasi in India and from there to Prayagraj. This route will also fulfill the demand of Vande Bharat till Varanasi. People of Deoria, Mau and Aurihar will also get the new facility.

North Central Railway is also preparing for the inauguration ceremony in Prayagraj. The new service is expected to start from Prayagraj. Before the launch of Vande Bharat, there was a proposal to run North Eastern Railway from Gorakhpur to Ayodhya and from Lucknow to Prayagraj. The proposal will be made by the second week of December and sent to the board for approval.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the eight-coach Vande Bharat between Lucknow and Gorakhpur from Gorakhpur Junction on July 7. Since then, this train runs every day except Sunday. Three trains run from Gorakhpur to Prayagraj. It reaches Dadar in the morning, Durg in the afternoon and Prayagraj at night. Usually all three trains are completely full.
