Mahendragarh News: The Central Government is continuously working for the development of Indian Railways. Railway network is being laid all around the country. Not only this, the Government of India has launched “Amrit Bharat Station Scheme” to provide all facilities at railway stations. Under this scheme, emphasis is being laid on redevelopment of railway stations. Soon the work of redevelopment of the railway station of Mahendragarh district of Haryana will be done. To complete this scheme, a master plan is being prepared by the government.

Facilities being increased at stations

For the convenience of passengers, the Central Government is working rapidly to increase facilities at railway stations. Under the “Amrit Bharat Station Scheme” run by the Central Government, many works will be done at 15 railway stations of Bikaner division. Mahendragarh Railway Station will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs 16 crore 59 lakh. Apart from this, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Mahendragarh and Narnaul railway stations have also been included in this scheme.

Circulating area will be beautified

In the first phase, green belt, beautification of circulating area, construction of new toilets, platform shelters and replacement of GI seats of existing platform shelters will be done with an amount of Rs 6 crore 51 lakhs. Apart from this, renovation work of railway buildings will be done. Tenders have been issued for all these works. Provision for train indication board, GPS based clocks, TV and speakers, display unit has been made at Mahendragarh station. On which an amount of Rs 55 lakh will be spent.

Foot bridge will be constructed

Apart from this, a 12 meter wide foot bridge should be constructed in Mahendragarh district by spending an amount of Rs 897 lakh. The first survey work of the railway line was done in the year 1936 on the Rewari-Bikaner railway line. After this, the survey work was completed in the year 1937. Apart from this, for the first time in the year 1942, a meter gauge train was run from Delhi to Bikaner. In the year 2021, it was trialled on one line but till now the electric train has not been started on it.
