The government is making Bundelkhand Expressway a solar expressway to promote solar energy production. The project is handled by the Northern Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEDA). The project will last for 25 years. Efforts are being made to complete the selection of the company soon. The solar plants will be installed in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
