Delhi Katra Expressway: Vigorous work is going on on Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently visited Hawaii to see its construction. He oversaw the construction works of Delhi-Katra Expressway and Amritsar Bypass. A total of Rs 40 thousand crore will be spent on this project. Delhi to Amritsar can be reached in about 4 hours and Delhi to Katra in 6 hours through 670 km expressway.

With the establishment of this highway the distance from Delhi to Katra will also be reduced. Katra is currently 727 km away from Delhi. But after the completion of the construction of this expressway, the distance will be reduced by 58 km. Not only those traveling to Delhi-Amritsar-Katra will be benefited, but the people falling on the way and the surrounding areas will also benefit.

Vaishno Devi journey will become easier - Delhi Katra Expressway

Currently, it is quite difficult to reach Vaishno Devi by road. This is the reason. That people use train to go there from Delhi. But a bridge is being built on the new route. Which will make it very easy to reach Vaishno Devi. The length of the bridge is 1300 meters. Which is being made in Asia. This cable bridge is unique in itself. Completing this journey will be very rewarding. They will go to Vaishno in their car on the weekend and come back.

The areas through which this route will pass will also benefit greatly. Trade can provide a boom to these areas. This highway will be 399 km long in Punjab, 135 km in Jammu and Kashmir and 137 km in Haryana. In Haryana, it will depart from Jhajjar, Rohtak, Sonipat, Jind, Karnal and Kaithal. Patiala, Sangrur, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Amritsar and Gurdaspur of Punjab will also be on its way.
