PM Modi Will Today lay Foundation Stone For Redevelopment of 553 Railway Stations Across Country
Railway Stations: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 553 railway stations across the country. Under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, stations of 27 states and union territories are being developed with an investment of Rs 19000 crore.
The stations being redeveloped include roof plaza, inter modal connectivity, children's play area, kiosk, lift, waiting room, food court etc. Also, they will be made environment and disabled friendly. The design of these stations will include local culture and heritage.
Major stations of Haryana and Punjab
Gurugram, Faridabad Town, Palwal, Gohana, Ballabhar, Hodal and Moga, Beas and Jalandhar cities of Punjab are included.

Most stations in Uttar Pradesh
Under the scheme, maximum number of stations are included in Uttar Pradesh at 73, Maharashtra at second place at 56 and Gujarat at third place. Apart from this, 33-33 railway stations of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, 21-21 of Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, 27 of Jharkhand, 15 of Haryana, three each of Punjab and Uttarakhand, one each of Uttarakhand and Himachal will be redeveloped.
