Premium Bus Will Now Pick Up Speed on The Roads of Delhi

Delhi Premium Bus: People of Delhi will soon get good news. There is a plan to bring luxury buses in Delhi soon. The Delhi government has approved the premium bus service program with an aim to reduce the use of private vehicles in the city and reduce pollution.

Electric buses will also be started from 2025.

Under the scheme, license holders will have to ensure that no premium bus is installed or purchased whose registration date is more than three years after the announcement of the scheme. According to this, new luxury buses, be they air-conditioned CNG buses or electric buses, will have to comply with mainstream BS-VI emission norms. From January 1, 2025, only electric buses are allowed to be included in the scheme, CNG buses are also excluded and BS-VI compliant buses are also allowed to be included in the scheme.
