YuvaPatrkaar : At present, severe cold and dense fog (Weather Update) has increased the problems of people in most areas of North India. The mood of the weather seems to be changing very rapidly these days. Rain and snowfall are also being seen amid cold (Imd alert rainfall).

Due to increase in minimum temperature in many places, people have got some relief from cold. Snowfall is currently being seen in the hilly areas. Snowfall is creating trouble for normal life.

According to the Meteorological Department, some states of North India may see even more severe cold in the coming days. There is a possibility of rain in North India and snowfall in some parts.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy rain/snowfall in isolated areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim on 5 February. The Meteorological Department has also predicted light rain/snowfall in Arunachal Pradesh during February 7.

Rain and hailstorm alert in these states

Normal life was affected in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand due to snowfall on Sunday. Along with this, many flights were also canceled and roads including national highways were closed for vehicular traffic.

Scattered rain is also predicted over West Bengal and Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya and Nagaland, Mizoram, Manipur and Tripura during 6 to 7 February. Whereas on February 5, thunderstorm and hailstorm has been predicted at isolated places in Sikkim.

Dense fog was seen in some parts of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi on 5 February and in different parts of Punjab from morning onwards on 6 February. Scattered hailstorm is likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 05 February 2024. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of sporadic hailstorm in Uttarakhand on 05 February 2024.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayas during the next 24 hours. There is a possibility of light rain in some parts of UP Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Bihar.
