New Stations: Preparations to run Metro from Noida Sector-62 to Sahibabad have intensified. On Monday, DMRC submitted the revised detailed project report (DPIR) to the GDA. NDPP will have five stations from Sahibabad to Noida. Four stations were initially offered.

With the construction of this route, Ghaziabad will be directly connected to Noida. Namo Bharat train will also connect to Metro Sahibabad station. GDA is trying to merge the Red and Blue lines of the metro. GDA demanded Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to prepare a revised DPR for this. DMRC officials reached the authority on Monday and handed over the revised DPAR of the project to the Chief Engineer in-charge of GDA.

According to the revised DPR, the route from Noida to Sahibabad is 5.017 km. Earlier there were four stations on this route, but in the revised DPR five stations will be built. This route will connect DPS Indirapuram, Vaibhav Khand Indirapuram, Shakti Khand Indirapuram, Vasundhara Sector 7 and Sahibabad metro stations. The cost of the metro route project in the current DPR was Rs 1517 crore, but in the revised DPR it is Rs 1873.31 crore. The cost of the project has thus increased by Rs 356.31 crore.

At the same time, some changes have also been made in the alignment of the metro route. According to the revised DPR, a total of 2,6691.30 square meters of land will be required. This includes 7690.10 square meters of private land and 19001.20 square meters of government land. Engineers of the authority will consider the revised DPR. There will also be talks with GDA Vice President on Tuesday. Also, technical analysis will be done by discussing every aspect of it. After this there will be an agreement.

Namo Sahibabad station will be connected to India

Sahibabad station will be connected to Namo Bharat train. A footover bridge will be connected to it, through which passengers coming from Noida by metro will be able to go to Ghaziabad or Mohannagar by Sahibabad Namo Bharat train. With this, traveling to Noida will be very easy.

DMRC has also given the funding pattern in the revised DPIR. The central government will give 20 percent, while the state government will give 80 percent. This will include state government and local bodies. The authority will also have to talk to the government.
