Rapid Rail: Information has been given by the officials of National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). That the next 25 km stretch of RRTS corridor from Duhai Depot in Ghaziabad to Meerut South is likely to be started in 2 months. 4 stations will be built on the section

Team NCRTC is working with momentum towards running Namo Bharat Train on the additional 25 km long section from Duhai to Meerut South, i.e. beyond the priority section, in two months. Vats said that there will be four stations on this section which will include Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North and Meerut South. After the commissioning of this additional section, the 42 km long section from Sahibabad to Meerut South i.e. from Delhi border to Meerut border will be available for the passengers to experience reliable, safe, high speed travel in Namo Bharat trains.

The target has been set till 2025

He said, “Considering the pace of work, Delhi can also join it in January next year. Team NCRTC is working with enthusiasm towards completing the entire 82 km corridor before its target schedule of June 2025.
