Haryana schools reopened on Tuesday after a 22-day holiday. But due to cold the government extended the holidays. Government schools open from Tuesday at 9:30 am. Many private schools opened in the state at 10 am. Schools used to open at 9 am before winter vacations.

There will be a holiday on Sunday, January 21 and January 22 for the consecration of the idol in Shri Ram Temple, Ayodhya. Schools reopened on Tuesday, but will reopen on January 29 due to the cold.
