Rohtak: The country's first railway bypass (Panipat-Gohana new line) will be built in its city. This project will cost around Rs 180 crore, the entire expense of which will be borne by the Railway Ministry for the first time. To quickly realize the plan, Railways has made preparations to float its tender this month itself. The work of dismantling the line will start in the next four months.

The Gohana-Panipat railway line will be taken out of the city in about two years. With the railway line out, lakhs of people of the city will get freedom from the hassle of traffic jams. Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge and CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda himself, along with MP Deependra, will also address the public meeting by laying the foundation stone of the scheme on the grounds of the old ITI on July 28.

Preparation of goods road and market

The state government will provide land to the Railways to build a new rail bypass. In return, the state government will take the land of the existing Gohana Panipat railway line from the Railways. There is a plan to build a mall road and market on this land. With the construction of a road here, the way to the railway station will also become easier. Railway officials said that first the new railway line will be laid, only after that the old line will be uprooted.

Rail bypass will be built from Samar Gopalpur to Makdauli

Along with the railway line going from Rohtak station to Jind, a new single line will be laid till village Samar Gopalpur. About one and a half km before Samar Gopalpur, this line will be connected to the Gohana line near village Makdauli. This approximately 19 km long line from Rohtak station to Makdauli will pass through Jind Road and cross Sunderpur, Titoli Road. Under the project, a railway overbridge on Jind Road and a railway underbridge on Gohana Road will also be built.

Will get relief from jam at five gates

Lakhs of people will be freed from five railway gates by going outside the Gohana-Panipat railway line passing through the city. The city residents will get relief from the traffic jams at three gates. The city has three gates on the Gohana Panipat Line. These include near Bajrang Bhawan, Sonipat Road, Delhi Bypass Road gate. Three passenger trains, two express and four goods trains pass on this route daily. For this reason, the gate here is closed on an average every two hours. And people have to face long traffic jams. Similarly, the jam at the gates near village Ladhot and Makdauli will also be relieved.

The distance will increase by 8 km

After the construction of the new rail bypass, the distance between Gohana and Rohtak will increase by 8 km. At present the distance from Rohtak station to Gohana station is 32 km. With the construction of the new rail bypass, trains going from Gohana to Panipat will have to travel a longer distance of 8 km, hence the distance to Gohana will become 40 km.

Dream project for the city: Deependra

MP Deepender Hooda said that the new rail bypass is a dream project for the city. Construction of rail bypass will provide relief to lakhs of people in the city from traffic jams. Construction of rail bypass in Rohtak is the first such scheme in the country. There is no rail bypass anywhere before this. The important thing is this. That its entire expense will be borne by the Railway Ministry. They will make every effort to complete this project on time.
