UP Weather: There is a possibility of rain in most parts of Uttar Pradesh today. There is also a possibility of hailstorm, thunder, lightning and strong winds. The weather has changed in Lucknow also. It rained lightly with thunder last night.

Rain alert has been issued in many districts of the state including Lucknow, Bijnor, Meerut, Bareilly, Rampur, Rae Bareli and Gorakhpur. There is also a possibility of storm and hailstorm in some areas. Due to which Rabi crop may get damaged. There is a danger of damage to wheat and mango crops especially due to hailstorm.

According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior meteorologist of Lucknow-based Zonal Meteorological Centre, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in both western and eastern regions of Uttar Pradesh. There has also been a warning of possible storm, lightning and strong winds at a speed of 40-50 km per hour in some areas of western UP.
