UP Lucknow-Kanpur Heighway Big Update: Final approval has been given for the diversion of heavy vehicles regarding the flyover under construction on Lucknow-Kanpur Highway. In a meeting held between DCP Traffic and transport operators on Thursday, it was decided to divert heavy vehicles till the flyover is built. This deviation will be in effect from October 1 until the construction is completed.

The toll will cost up to Rs 7,000 and require an additional distance of 50 km from the Kanpur Road bypass. The use of heavy vehicles increases the cost of travel by about 100 km in both directions. The fare hike will definitely be between Rs 5,000 to Rs 7,000, which also includes the cost of diesel, driver and vehicle.
