UP Weather Alert Today: Due to moist winds coming from the Bay of Bengal, the rainy season will continue in the state till 28-29 September. Today on Sunday, warning of lightning, thunder and rain has been issued in 37 districts. Today there is a possibility of rain in most of the districts in Western and Eastern UP. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and thundershowers in many areas on Sunday and Monday. There is a possibility of lightning along with thunder in some areas during heavy rains.

According to the UP Meteorological Department, on September 24, there are chances of rain with thunderstorms at one or two places in Western UP and at some places in Eastern UP. There may also be rain in many districts between the period of 25 to 27 September. Rain will continue at one or two places in Western UP and at some places in Eastern UP till 27-28 September. There is a possibility of a drop of 2-3 degrees Celsius in the maximum temperature in the next two days. There is no possibility of any major change in the minimum temperature.

Alert of rain and lightning in these districts today

According to the UP Meteorological Department, today on Sunday, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Sambhal, Amroha, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Bahraich, Shravasti, Gonda, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Yellow alert of rain with thunder has been issued in Basti, Sant Kabirnagar, Gorakhpur, Ambedkarnagar, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Deoria, Ballia, Mau, Jaunpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Chandauli, Sonbhadra and Azamgarh.

There may be heavy rain in Bareilly, Rampur, Pilibhit, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Kaushambi, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Banda, Fatehpur, Ayodhya, Amethi, Sultanpur and Jaunpur.

Heavy rain warning has also been issued in Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mau and Ballia.

There are chances of thunder and lightning in Ambedkar Nagar, Amroha, Azamgarh, Baghpat, Bahraich, Ballia, Balrampur, Bareilly and Basti districts.

Thunderstorm and lightning may also occur in Bijnor, Chandauli, Deoria, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Ghazipur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Hapur, Jaunpur, Kushinagar and Lakhimpur Kheri districts.

The probability of lightning is high in Maharajganj, Mau, Meerut, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Muzaffarnagar, Pilibhit, Prayagraj, Sant Kabir Nagar and Sant Ravidas Nagar districts.

At the same time, there is a high possibility of lightning along with thunder in Saharanpur, Sambhal, Shamli, Siddharthnagar, Sonbhadra, Rampur, Shravasti, Varanasi and surrounding areas.
