NHAI had predicted that at least 50 to 60 thousand vehicles would pass through this expressway daily, but at present only 3 to 4 thousand vehicles pass through it daily. The effect of this was that the first toll collecting agency left the toll plaza within a month. Now the government has given the contract for this toll to another agency at one-third the price. But he is also feeling the loss.

Vehicles are not coming on the expressway

Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is passing through Jhabua, Ratlam and Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. Vehicular movement has now started on this expressway. But in the last few days it has been seen that there is very less traffic here. Expensive toll is also being said to be the reason for less traffic on this expressway. At present only three to four thousand vehicles are passing through this highway. Due to which only Rs 9 lakh toll tax is being received in a day. Along with this, the expressway work in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra has not been completed yet. Due to this, vehicles from other states are not coming on this expressway. Due to this, there is almost no traffic here.

Expressway will pass through these cities

Delhi – Mumbai Expressway will go from Sohna in Haryana to Maharashtra via Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh. On this highway, connectivity to Jaipur, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Kota, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Surat and many nearby cities will become easy. At present the distance via road from Delhi to Surat is more than 1150 km. After the construction of this expressway, this distance will remain only 800 km.
