Yamuna Authority's Master Plan-2, New City To Be Built on 10,500 Hectares Near Agra
Master Plan-2 of Yamuna Authority: To control the rapidly increasing pollution, 15 percent land will be reserved for green belt. Due to industrial development, people in and around Agra will not have to go out of their homes for work.
YEDA has started preparations to build a new city in an area of 10,500 hectares in view of the increasing population pressure in the cities of Delhi NCR. The new city will be filled with the most modern facilities. According to the master plan of 2031, about 11 lakh people will live in the new city. This population will also be a part of other schemes apart from basic facilities.
Considering the excellent tourism potential in Agra, 7% of the total area of the new city will be reserved for tourism. While the new city will focus on industrial development to provide jobs to the people of Agra and surrounding districts. 25% of the city's land will be given to industry. Proposals related to the master plan will be presented in the board meeting on November 28.

A new city will be built near Agra. Master Plan-2031 is being prepared for this. In the new city, special attention will be given to trade, transportation and natural beauty with all the necessary facilities.
