Akshay Nagalkar Murder Case: Hotel rented to kill Akshay, burned in field, bone fragments & ashes thrown into river, big update in the case that shook Maharashtra
Akola: A major revelation has come to light in the Akola city's ongoing Akshay Nagalkar murder case, so far the police have arrested 9 accused in this case. After the murder, the accused tried to burn the body and destroy the evidence, now the police have seized materials like bone fragments of the deceased, ashes, 2 country-made pistols, a sickle and 6 live cartridges, a Tata Indigo car, 3 motorcycles, 7 mobile phones from the accused. The police have also seized the ashes and bone remains. DNA testing of the bone fragments is also being done. This information was given by Superintendent of Police Archit Chandak in a press conference.
Akshay Nagalkar, a youth, went missing on October 22 in Akola city. The police searched for him thoroughly, but after four days it came to light that Akshay was murdered. The police had earlier detained four people in this case. Later, four more were arrested. The police have arrested another person in this case. All nine accused have been remanded in police custody till November 5. The police have expedited the investigation and seized materials such as bone fragments of the deceased, ashes, 2 country-made pistols, a sickle and 6 live cartridges, a Tata Indigo car, 3 motorcycles, 7 mobile phones from the accused. District Superintendent of Police Archit Chandak has informed that the police are in the process of DNA investigation. So far, the police have arrested nine accused in this murder case - Chandu Borkar, Ashu Wankhade, Shrikrishna Bhakere, Brahma Bhakere, Rohit Parate, Amol Unhale, Akash Shinde, Narayan Mesre, Shiva Mali. All these nine accused have been remanded in police custody till November 5.
Shocking conspiracy behind the murder exposed
During the police investigation, it has come to light that Akshay was taken on a two-wheeler by his friend Ashu Wankhade. Further investigation revealed that Chandu Borkar had hatched a conspiracy due to a previous dispute with Akshay. For this, the accused rented a closed hotel on Gaigaon Road. On the pretext of food, they called Akshay, closed the shutters of the hotel and murdered him with a pistol and a sharp weapon. After this, to destroy the evidence, the accused built a tin room in the field, burned the body and threw the ashes into the river.
Police teams were formed
Based on the information received by the police from the informant, a total of eight teams were formed. Out of these, four teams from the local crime branch, two teams from the police sub-divisional officer's department and two teams from Dabki Road police station were sent for the investigation. The police worked day and night and based on technical analysis, the suspected accused were taken into custody within 48 hours. The entire truth came to light during the investigation.
