An order was given to the Chandigarh administration, according to which Governor Punjab and Administrator U.T. Chandigarh, Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit has banned air travel and stay in five star hotels for officers visiting Delhi. The Chandigarh Administrator took a tough stand on extravagance and said, “As responsible officers, it is our moral duty. That the wastage of public money should be prevented, and wasteful expenditure should not be tolerated under any circumstances.

No officer will be allowed to travel by air to Delhi

In this regard, a news related to the expenditure being incurred by the officials of Chandigarh administration was brought to my notice. It said that the officers are traveling by business class in commercial flights with stay in five star hotels in Delhi. It has been written in the order issued by Mr. Banwari Lal Purohit. That after careful consideration of the present circumstances, it is directed that That from now on no official will be allowed to travel by air to Delhi.

Will travel by Shatabdi and Vande Bharat trains

This decision has been taken for the officers on behalf of Banwarilal Purohit. Due to which there will be some restriction on extravagance. All officers going to Delhi will travel by Shatabdi and Vande Bharat trains. Apart from this, instead of staying in the official hotel, U.T. Can stay in Guest House, Punjab Bhawan or Haryana Bhawan only.
