Chandrayaan 3: India has created history. Chandrayaan-3's Vikram Lander has successfully landed on the South Pole of the Moon. India has become the first country to land a spacecraft on this part of the Moon. While it has become the fourth country to land a spacecraft on any part of the Moon. So Russia will have a record before India, Russia first landed the Luna-25 spacecraft on the South Pole of the Moon. It was supposed to land on August 21, but during the final orbit change it deviated from its path and crashed into the lunar surface.

Chandrayaan-3 was launched from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh on July 14 at 3.35 am. It took 41 days to land on the lunar surface. The total distance of the Moon from the Earth is 3 lakh 84 thousand kilometers.

Chandrayaan 3: What will happen after landing?

• Vikram will be on and will communicate after the dust settles.
• Then the ramp will open and Pragyan Rover will come from the ramp to the lunar surface.
• The wheels will leave an imprint of the Ashoka Pillar and the ISRO logo on the lunar surface.
• Vikram Lander will take photo of Pragyan and Pragyan of Vikram. They will send this photo to the earth.
