Helpline number issued for cyber crime

Shatrunjit Kapoor told that if cyber fraud happens to anyone. So they should give information on helpline number 1930 with immediate effect so that further transactions can be prevented. Apart from this, cyber crime complaint can also be lodged by visiting the official website http://www.cybercrime.gov.in. He told that through this helpline number, a total of Rs 22.38 crore has been saved from fraud in the state from January to August.

38600 complaints have been received so far

Director General of Police said that after receiving the complaint, information like UPI ID, the number from which the call was received, bank details and means of payment etc. is taken from the person. After which an ID of the person is created. Which is sent to the nodal officers of the bank. On the basis of which the bank official freezes the transaction account. And the financial transactions stop there. He said that till now more than 38,600 complaints have been received on this helpline number.
