DA Hike: Govt Made a Big Announces, Employees Will Get Additional Salary on This Day, DA Will increase

DA Hike: For your information, let us tell you that in the last week of March, Modi government increases the dearness allowance and dearness relief of more than 48 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners from January to June every year. The central government will also have to increase dearness allowance from January to June 2024. But the Modi government can take a decision on the increase in dearness allowance in the year 2024, not in the month of March but in the beginning of the new year itself. There are reasons. Lok Sabha elections to be held from April to May next year.

When will DA increase?

In 2022, Modi government decided to increase dearness allowance on 30 March 2022 and in 2023 on 24 March 2023. The dates for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are expected to be announced in the first week of March (7th pay commission). The code of conduct will come into force across the country as soon as the election date is announced. Then the Central Government will not be able to increase the dearness allowance. In such a situation, the Modi government can please the central employees by increasing dearness allowance and dearness relief between January and February.

Will DA be merged with basic pay?

After dearness allowance reaches fifty percent, it will be merged into basic pay. With this, dearness allowance will become zero and will increase again. But let us tell you that nothing like this will happen. Because the Seventh Pay Commission has not recommended its merger with basic pay since there is no such 50% dearness allowance. No such recommendation was made by the Sixth Pay Commission either. The government has refused to constitute the 8th Pay Commission after completion of 50 percent dearness allowance.
