Will DA be merged with basic pay?

After dearness allowance reaches fifty percent, it will be merged into basic pay. With this, dearness allowance will become zero and will increase again. But let us tell you that nothing like this will happen. Because the Seventh Pay Commission has not recommended its merger with basic pay since there is no such 50% dearness allowance. No such recommendation was made by the Sixth Pay Commission either. The government has refused to constitute the 8th Pay Commission after completion of 50 percent dearness allowance.
