Delhi School Vacation: Recently, severe cold in North India has stopped common people from coming out of their homes. Due to cold, the temperature in some rural areas has fallen by 2 degrees. It is extremely cold in Delhi also. Therefore, the government has decided to close the schools for the next few days.

The government has closed schools for students from nursery to class five for the next five days, i.e. till January 12, due to cold weather.

The Delhi government had already extended the winter vacation in all government-aided and unaided private schools in the National Capital Region till January 10 due to the cold wave and IMD's yellow alert. Hours after the order to extend winter vacations was issued, the Delhi government withdrew it.

There is a record minimum of 8.2 degrees

There was a minimum weather of 8.2 degrees Celsius in Delhi today on Sunday. Due to falling temperature people sat near the bonfire. The Meteorological Department said that cold to severe weather is likely to continue in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan in the coming days. But it will reduce later. In Noida and Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh adjacent to Delhi, schools have also been closed due to cold.
