Geetu Ram, a Superintending Engineer with the Haryana electricity department, has committed suicide. According to reports, he was due to retire today, but news of his suicide emerged before that could happen.

His family stated that he was scheduled to retire today and had left home in the morning to submit some paperwork. When he did not return after a considerable amount of time, the family began searching for him.

His daughter recounted that when he failed to return home, they started looking for him and found his car parked near a school. Upon checking the vehicle, they discovered his body inside.

The grieving family revealed that he had left a suicide note at home naming several officers and employees. They alleged that he took this extreme step because he had been severely harassed by certain individuals.
