G20 Summit Bank & Office Closed : Banks & offices Will Remain Closed on These Dates in Delhi on The Occasion of G20 Summit, See List
Yuva Patrkaar : The G20 summit is to be held on 9 and 10 September 2023 in the country's capital Delhi. Bank customers are in a state of confusion about whether there will be a bank holiday on this occasion or not. Addressing the concerns of the customers, the official statement said. To ensure the security and orderly conduct of the G20 Summit, there will be public holidays on the dates of the event.
During a speech last week, PM Narendra Modi had told about route diversion and some problems for the people due to the G20 Summit in Delhi. Since then there has been a discussion among people about the holidays of banks and offices and traffic diversion in the capital. On August 24, the Delhi government issued a notification stating that banks, financial institutions and commercial businesses in the New Delhi area would remain closed from September 8 to September 10 during the Delhi G20 summit.

There Will Be Holidays in These institutions
All government departments, offices, organizations, undertakings, corporations, boards, statutory bodies, educational institutions etc. of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi will remain closed between September 8 and September 10 (Bank Offices Closed on G20 Summit). This instruction will also apply to all private offices, educational or other institutions within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
According to Delhi Government, there will be a holiday in offices (Next Friday Holiday Account of G20Summit) on 8 September 2023 (Friday). After this, 09 and 10 September 2023 will be public holidays due to Saturday and Sunday. Banks will also remain closed during this period. As per Section 16 (3) (i) of the Delhi Shops and Establishments Act 1954, all commercial and business establishments located within the jurisdiction of New Delhi Police District will remain closed from 8 to 10 September 2023.
