Yuva Patrkaar : Many festivals, celebrations, anniversaries and days are falling in the month of September, due to which there will be holidays in banks and government offices. According to the list of holidays of the Reserve Bank of India, banks are going to be closed for a total of 16 days including Sunday, second Saturday and fourth Saturday in various states of India. Banks will remain closed on 18, 19 and 20 in many states on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) publishes a list of bank holidays every month to ensure that consumers are not inconvenienced. In the month of September, banks will remain closed on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Nuakhai Shri Narayan Guru Samadhi Day, Maharaja Hari Singh Ji's birthday, Shrimant Sankardev's birth anniversary, Milad-e-Sharif (Prophet Mohammed's birthday), Indrajatra. According to RBI, there may be changes in state-wise holidays.

Holiday from 27th to 29th even after Ganesh Chaturthi

Banks are going to remain closed for 3 consecutive days on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. Depending on the state, banks will remain closed on 18th, 19th and 20th for Ganesh Chaturthi. Similarly, there will be bank holiday for 3 consecutive days on 27, 28 and 29 September due to festivals.

18 September 2023- (Monday) Banks will remain closed in Karnataka and Telangana on the occasion of Vinayak Chaturthi.

19 September 2023- (Tuesday) Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu and Goa on Ganesh Chaturthi.

20 September 2023 - (Wednesday) Banks will remain closed in Orissa and Goa due to Ganesh Chaturthi (second day) and Nuakhai.

27 September 2023: Banks will remain closed in Jammu and Kerala on the occasion of Milad-e-Sharif (birthday of Prophet Mohammed).

28 September 2023: Eid-e-Milad or Eid-e-Miladunnabi (Birthday of Prophet Mohammed) in Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand. Banks will remain closed.

29 September 2023: After Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi, banks will remain closed in Sikkim, Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Indrajatra.
