The next revision in house rent allowance will be 3%. The current maximum rate of HRA will be 27% to 30%. If DA is 50%, HRA will be 30%, 20% and 10%. X category central employees will get 30% HRA. Whereas for Y category people it will be 18% to 20%. For Z class it will be 9% to 10%.

How is HRA determined?

There is a population of more than 50 lakh people in X category. Central employees posted in these cities will get 27% HRA. Whereas, Y category cities will be 18% and Z category cities will be 9%.
