School Holiday/Winter Vacation 2023-24 : After Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi and Jharkhand, now school students of Haryana and Punjab have also got relief. Due to increasing cold and cold wave, the state government has announced winter vacation. Under this, schools will remain closed in Punjab from 24th December to 31st December, while in Haryana there will be winter vacation in January. The School Education Department has also issued orders in this regard.

15 days winter vacation in Haryana

Haryana's Manohar Lal Khattar government has announced holidays for schools in the state. Under this, there will be holidays in all government and private schools of the state from January 1 to January 15, and schools will reopen from January 16. In this regard, a letter has been issued by the Haryana Education Department to the District Education Officers, District Fundamental Officers and Block Education Officers of all the districts of the state. According to the letter, holidays in government and private schools of all the districts of the state will be as per the decided schedule, that is, schools will remain closed for a total of 15 days.

8 days winter holidays in Punjab

In view of the increasing cold, the Punjab government has announced holidays from 24th to 31st December. Education Secretary KK Yadav has issued orders in this regard. Let us tell you that recently the Punjab government had changed the timings of schools in view of the increasing cold, fog and mist. Due to winter, school timings have been changed from 9 am to 3.30 pm. The order to change the school timings was issued by Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains.
