2000 Note Exchange Last Day Today : In some states, public and private sector banks will remain closed today i.e. on 27, 28 and 29 September on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad festival. Bank closures may vary depending on states as per the RBI holiday calendar. In such a situation, if you have not yet deposited or exchanged the Rs 2000 note in the bank, then in view of the upcoming holidays, today may be your last chance. Bank holiday on the occasion of Eid-Milad
28 September 2023: Gujarat, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad or Eid-e-Miladunnabi (birthday of Prophet Mohammed). Banks are closed in.
29 September 2023: Banks are closed in Sikkim, Jammu and Srinagar due to Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi and Indrajatra festival.
Exchange Rs 2000 note today
According to the list of holidays of the Reserve Bank of India, there are a total of 16 days of bank holidays in September in various states of India including Sunday, second Saturday and fourth Saturday. Now there are many bank holidays in the last week of the month. In such a situation, if you still have a note of Rs 2000 and you have not changed it yet, then change the note today itself, because banks are going to be closed on 28th and 29th and the last date is going to be Saturday on 30th. There will be work in banks on Saturday, but to avoid crowd or any problem, you should deposit the notes in the bank now or exchange them. According to RBI, September 30 is the last date for exchange of notes and after that the Rs 2000 note will no longer be legal tender.
