Youngster Velalage achieved a huge feat as he took his maiden 5-wicket haul. Single-handedly dismantled the strong Indian batting lineup and got the wickets of top batsmen like Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya.

Along with this, he batted brilliantly and scored 42 runs in 46 balls.
