This has been included in the Indian book of records. The one who has achieved this feat is none other than the first BYD showroom in Kerala, which was opened in Ernakulam, Kochi.
The name of this BYD showroom, managed by EVM Group, is EVM Southcost BYD. All the 51 BYD electric cars delivered in a single day at this showroom are said to be the recently launched SeaLion 7 electric car from this Chinese electric car company.
The event where 51 BYD electric cars were delivered in a single day was held at a star hotel in Kochi. All the 51 cars were delivered to 51 customers. These 51 customers are mostly from Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode areas of Kerala. All the customers were invited to a 5-star hotel instead of the showroom.
If we want to talk about the BYD SeaLion 7 electric car delivered at such a special event, this is the latest launch of the BYD company in India. The BYD Celerio 7 is a coupe-style electric SUV with a sliding roof at the rear. The Celerio 7 is available in two variants, Premium and Performance.
The ex-showroom prices of these are currently Rs. 48.90 lakh and Rs. 54.90 lakh respectively. Available in 4 colour options - Cosmos Black, Aurora White, Atlantis Grey and Shark Grey, BYD claims that this electric car can travel a maximum distance of 554 km on a full charge.
It is rare for 51 cars to be delivered from a single showroom in a single day. However, the fact that 51 units of each electric car, worth around Rs. 50 lakh, were delivered in a single day is impressive. It seems like there are so many people in our country who can afford to buy such an expensive electric car.
