PM-eBus Sewa: These Cities Will Get Benefit of Electric Buses, What is Govt's Plan, Know About it in Detail
PM-eBus Sewa: The Union Cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday (August 16) under the chairmanship of PM Modi. In which many big decisions were taken. Giving information about the decisions of the Union Cabinet after the meeting, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that PM e-Bus Sewa has been approved.
PM e-Bus Sewa, a bus scheme to run city buses on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model has been approved. 10k e-buses will be run through the scheme. The scheme will cover cities with a population of three lakh and above.

10k e-buses will run in 169 Cities
Giving information about the decisions taken in the cabinet, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that to promote green mobility and to increase city bus operations, the Union Cabinet has approved 'PM-eBus service' on Wednesday. Under this, priority will be given to those cities where there is no organized bus service at present.
Under the scheme, 10k e-buses will be run in 169 cities on the basis of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. He said that under the initiative being taken for green urban mobility, attention will also be given to develop infrastructure in 181 cities.
Thakur informed that the total estimated cost of this scheme has been estimated at Rs 57,613 crore. Out of which the central government will give Rs 20k crore.
