Tata Altroz CNG & Maruti Baleno CNG Which One is Better For You? Know Complete information
Tata Altroz CNG & Maruti Baleno CNG: Tata Motors recently revealed the mileage of the Altroz CNG premium hatchback. It competes with Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG in the Indian market. This is the first model from Tata Motors. In which twin-cylinder technology has been used. The Altroz CNG hatchback was launched in May this year with prices starting from Rs.7.55 lakh. And the top-end variant goes up to Rs 10.55 lakh.
The Tata Altroz CNG hatchback is available in a total of six variants – XE, XM+, XM+(S), XZ, XZ+(S) and XZ+O(S). Underneath this hatchback is a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. Which generates maximum power of 72.4 bhp and peak torque of 103 Nm. This engine comes only with a five-speed manual gearbox. According to Tata, the Altroz CNG returns an ARAI certified mileage of 26.20 km/kg.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the Altroz CNG underperforms in comparison to the Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG. The Baleno CNG that was launched quite a while back comes with a 1.2-litre petrol CNG engine. Which is linked to a five-speed manual transmission. The Baleno CNG, on the other hand, has a certified range of 30.61 km/kg. It makes slightly more power than the Altroz CNG at 76.4 bhp.

The Tata Altroz CNG has gained an edge over its Maruti rival in at least one aspect. Twin-cylinder technology is used in this car. In which instead of the big cylinder, there are two small cylinders which are kept under the luggage compartment. It is fitted in such a way that the boot space is similar to its ICE counterparts. The Altroz CNG also gets an advanced single ECU. Which is the first time in this industry. The car offers direct start facility in CNG mode.

Let us tell you that there is a slight difference in the prices of Altroz CNG and Baleno CNG. Actually the starting price of Altroz is Rs 7.55 lakh. While the starting price of Baleno CNG is around Rs 80k less from Rs 8.35 lakh. However, the top-end variant of Baleno CNG costs Rs 9.28 lakh. 1.25 lakh more than the top-spec variant of the Altroz CNG.
