Yuva Patrkaar : Toyota has released the first teaser of its upcoming Century SUV. And has also announced that it will make its global debut on September 6, 2023. The development of the Toyota Century SUV by the Japanese manufacturer was confirmed globally a few months back. So let's know about it. Unlike the Century sedan that will be offered only in the Japanese market, the Toyota Century SUV will be a global model.
It will be used to expand Toyota's Century range of luxury models in markets outside Japan, as the company did with the Crown brand. It is now present in many markets including North America. The upcoming Toyota Century SUV will be based on a monocoque chassis and will be shared with the Toyota Grand Highlander SUV. This makes it more suitable for the city than off-road terrains.

The Century SUV is expected to be bigger in terms of space and comfort, which will also provide a great experience for the buyers. The Century SUV, on the other hand, will be around 5.2 meters long and could have three-row seating as well. Currently, the Century sedan comes with a V12 petrol engine. However, this will not be the case with Century SUV.
On the other hand, Toyota will equip the Century SUV with a petrol-hybrid powertrain and it could be the same engine. Which is also seen in Grand Highlander SUV. At the same time, a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder petrol engine has been included in them. Which together with two electric motors gives a combined power of 243hp. And a 2.4-litre, turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine coupled with an electric motor makes a total of 362hp.
