Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun said that this car has been designed to fully meet the wishes of the customers. The four-door sedan will debut as a competitor to the Tesla Model S in terms of looks and performance. He said that the full meaning of SU is Speed Ultra.

Xiaomi has introduced SU7 in two configurations. The entry level variant has a 73.6 kWh battery pack. And also its top-line variant has a 101 kWh battery pack. The company claims that the car can cover a distance of 800km on full charge. By the end of 2025, the company will launch a new variant of the car named V8, which will have a 150 kWh battery pack. This electric car is going to get a range of 1,200 km.

The V6 model will generate power of 299 hp and the V6S model will generate power of 374 hp, its peak torque is 635 Nm. Depending on the variant, the Xiaomi SU7 car can reach a speed of 210 to 265 kmph. The high-end variant can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 2.78 seconds. It will take 10.67 seconds to reach 200 km.

The Xiaomi SU7 car will provide self-driving features using high resolution cameras, ultrasonic and radar. According to media reports, it will be launched in the Chinese market in a few months. However, Xiaomi has not decided the price of this car yet. Also, the company has not said anything about whether this car will be launched in India or not.
