Aditya-L1 Mission Launching : After achieving success on the Moon, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is now ready to achieve another success. ISRO is going to launch its first Sun mission ‘Aditya-L1’ today i.e. on 2 September 2023. This mission will be launched from Sriharikota Space Center on Saturday at 11:50 pm. With this first solar mission of India, ISRO will study the Sun.
ISRO's Sun mission 'Aditya L-1' will be placed in the 'Lagrange Point' i.e. L-1 orbit in space. L1 Point means those points located in space. Where a field of attraction and repulsion is generated due to the gravity of two space bodies (such as Earth and Sun). This point is used by the spacecraft to reduce the fuel consumption required to maintain its position. L1 is named after the Italian-French mathematician Joseph Luiz Lagrange.
