Iraq Fire : A major fire broke out at a wedding ceremony in Hamdania district of Nineveh province of Iraq late on Tuesday night when people were celebrating. At least 113 people died and 150 were injured in the fire. According to reports, while giving information on Wednesday morning, local sources were quoted as saying that the death toll may increase further.
A fire broke out at a large event hall in the north-eastern region after fireworks were lit during celebrations, local civil defense said. Due to which this terrible fire broke out. Preliminary information indicates. That the building was made of highly flammable construction materials caused it to catch fire rapidly.
According to reports, ambulances and medical teams were dispatched to the site by federal Iraqi authorities and officials from Iraq's Semi-Autonomous Kurdistan Region. Eyewitnesses present at the scene said that the fire broke out in the building at around 10:45 pm local time and hundreds of people were present at the time of the incident.
