How much subsidy will be available on the purchase of drone

Under the Drone Subsidy Scheme, farmers, custom hiring centers, FPOs and Krishi Vigyan Kendras will be given different subsidies on the purchase of drones.

Under the scheme, small, marginal, women, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers who buy drones individually will be given a subsidy of 50 percent or maximum Rs 5 lakh.

Forty percent (maximum four lakh rupees) subsidy will be given to general category farmers and Custom Hiring Center (CHC) operators on the purchase of agricultural drones.

Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) will be given a subsidy of 75 percent on the purchase of drones, which will be a maximum of Rs 7.5 lakh.

Apart from this, the government will give full subsidy on the purchase of drones to any recognized agricultural training institute, ICAR institute or Krishi Vigyan Kendra; in other words, the government will give them the full cost of purchasing the drone.

The government repeatedly invites applications from farmers to buy drones. Farmers can apply for this under the Agricultural Machinery Grant Scheme.

The government encourages farmers to buy drones. And also gives them training to fly drones.
